Ok guys, has any one done any video conferencing so far? I really want to figure out what is the best method to do a meeting without hopping on a plane.....at least some of the time, right!
what's the quality with skype and a web cam?
does the magic jack system include video conferencing? can it connect to the UK and at what rates or is it just for US numbers?
what I have in mind is some of us in a room doing a presentation and an interactive get-to-know-you plus Q&A with other people accross the Atlantic......
I have a Globalinx video phone but to reconnect it and keep it operational is perhaps costlier than other systems. 40 US to reconnect? 35 us per month to keep it running. 90 US penalty if I decide I no longer want it..... it can hook directly to a TV and does not need a laptop...but it would need the person on the other end to have a similar system which costs about 300 US to install.
vonage also had a video phone and I think it's a bit cheaper.....
anybody researched this or do I have to do it myself?
Hi Amanda glad to see you're becoming so interactive. I have also implemented a Live Video And Audio Chat here. Information was sent out in an email regarding this but that would have been before you joined us. So you can click on this link http://easyphamaxlifestyles.ning.com/page/live-video-chat or copy and paste it into your browser's address bar to see what I'm talking about. It was meant really as a way for us here to interact and may not be exactly what you had in mind but I can look into it and see if I find something that will be more suitable. You can still give it a look and give me some feedback.
thanks! I will look into it and see if it is suitable.......live chats and formal business presentations are not quite the same in terms of how you want to deliver the message.....but of course i have to look at it as you said.
on that same note, what is the quality of skype for video conferencing? I heard someone say the call quality with skype is not always 100% and sometimes the call drops.
But of course that person has a bias since they sell a different VOIP system and systems do improve their service with time.
